The Volunteer Program of the Fundacion Amigos Contra el Cancer Infantil arose from the interest of offering support and companionship to children and their families to deal and cope with the treatment.
Our work schedule begins at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. On weekends, we have a schedule for volunteers willing to cooperate and who can not during the week. This means that anyone who really wants to help will have the time to work in this beautiful mission.
People who commit to do volunteer work should do so in a serious and committed manner in order to provide this service during the hours that the person chooses.
MISSION
To provide emotional support to children and their families by accompanying them during their treatment, as well as, to assist the work done by the Foundation’s team.
OBJECTIVES
-To grant the wishes of children with cancer and give them experiences of joy and excitement.
-To provide them with new experiences, from those they live day by day, during their treatment.
-To offer constant spiritual support for parents and children regardless of their religion.
-To contribute to the education of children by encouraging their desire to study and continue their studies when they are fit for it.
-To offer continuing education for parents about different aspects of childhood cancer (hygiene, nutrition and management of the patient).
Remember that we need you. You are an important part of the Foundation and this is a serious commitment. Children with Cancer always wait for you, you're going to help address the challenges that they will confront at the different stages of their illness.
